Quick action averts disaster at Bagot Well

At 19:13 on the 1st December Eudunda CFS responded to a grass fire near Bagot Well, apparently caused by a power line. Fortunately due to the quick actions of a 12 year old lad and his caregiver quickly mobilising fire fighting equipment, the fire was prevented from spreading and was mopped up by CFS crews. In less than an hours time the crew were attending a tree down in the same location. Thank you to all volunteers!

Eudunda CFS Warn: "Please remember that all permits become invalid and are automatically cancelled on TOTAL FIRE BAN days."

ECBAT urges everyone to 'Shop Local this Christmas'

Following on from the message from our local Member for Stuart, Dan van Holst Pellekaan MP, who is encouraging people to shop local this Christmas to provide a much needed boost to the local economy. ECBAT thank Dan for his support and ask that everyone local considers purchasing as much as they can locally. At least make the effort to ASK YOUR LOCAL TRADER!

It might not always be possible to purchase all items locally, but we hear stories of how people have been surprised to find out what is available locally and that many times, the cost of things is comparable with items sourced South in the big towns. This is especially true when you factor in travel costs and your time, both considered expensive commodities these days.

INVEST IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY! PURCHASING LOCALLY KEEPS SHOPS, SERVICES AND JOBS LOCAL.

Tarik Sauer Premiership Win and an MVP

Young Tarik Sauer (Taz) plays for Central District Lions U12 Boys Division 1 Basketball team, and this week they became Premiers at the Port Pirie Division 1 Basketball Carnival. To top off the day he also received 'Most Valuable Player' (MVP) for the grand final. Well Done Taz!

Cluse Boys, Cricket Family Fun

The Cluse 'boys' David and Lachie celebrated their day of cricket at the Tanunda Oval on November 12th with David playing his 401st A Grade game for the Eudunda Robertstown Cricket Club.

While son Lachie did well too with 3/15 of 7.3.

David said "I only dropped one catch behind off my son".
