One year ago this month we held the first Vancouver SOUP!

Since the first SOUP, you raised $3,671 for 5 projects that are giving back to our fine city. We are so grateful for all the help, support, and enthusiasm we've received from Vancouverites.  We live in a vibrant and fun city. At each event we are uplifted by the exciting work you beautiful folks do to bring us closer together and help us grow.

JOIN US September 22 at the Groundswell Cafe, 566 Powell St., for the first birthday edition of Vancouver SOUP.

There may be cake. Cake is fun.

Three cheers for another year of SOUP!

Salish Sea Movement Society wins May SOUP!
On May 5th we had another cozy evening of food, folks and fun where you all raised $605 and voted Salish Sea Movement Society the winner. Founder and head coach, Conlan (pictured above) climbed the walls he was so excited and thankful for your support!

Many thanks to the Mat Collective, the Stranger Project, and Upcycle Vancouver for sharing your amazing projects with us. I left the evening inspired to do yoga on the beach, learn stories from strangers and looking forward to the 100 in one day event (spoiler alert - 2 of our presenters teamed up at that event!).

We enjoyed a divine tomato, chickpea, and kale soup from Amanda at Rebel Soup; some bright spring salads (pictured above); soda bread baked and donated by the lovely Danielle; and gluten free bread donated by Lemonade Bakery.

At the end of the evening, we also heard back from our January Vancouver SOUP winners - The Youth Collaborative for Chinatown about their Mahjong Socials.  More about the fun they have been having in our next newsletter.

A big thank you to everyone who comes together to make SOUP happen. You all ROCK!!
Vancouver SOUP is supported by CCEC Credit Union - making it possible for all of your donations to go directly to the winner of each event!
