Join us on January 21st for an evening of food, fun, and supporting community-building projects.

Doors at 6 pm @ 566 Powell St.

We host a public dinner at the Groundswell Cafe, where, for a minimum donation of $10 at the door - cash only! - you get soup, salad, bread, and a vote.

4 initiatives will pitch their ideas on how to make Vancouver a better, friendlier, or more sustainable city.

After the 4 pitches you can vote and the initiative with the most votes will win the donations raised that night! $$$!

Meet the Vancouver Youth Food Policy Council

The Vancouver Youth Food Policy Council seeks to develop food initiatives, policies, and activities that help create a sustainable, just, and culturally relevant food system in Vancouver. We hope to do this by empowering and inspiring Vancouver’s youth to discover and share knowledge, resources, skills, and assets, as well as educating young people in Vancouver in hopes that they will gain the ability and experience to solve arising issues, and gain a sense of empowerment, ownership, and responsibility of the Vancouver food system that shapes the Vancouver community.
