March 2018 | Spring into Action

Awaken from your wintry slumber. Shake off the cold from your bones, and open the windows of your life to welcome the warmth of the glorious sun. It’s time, friends, to SPRING into action!

We are committed to improving the lives of those around us.  Our ATG Tribe is busy planning a memorable year that will mark our own growth and evolution. Please save the date to attend our milestone final 10th Fashion for a Passion, which will take place on Saturday, September 22nd at sixty five hundred. This will be a special night to celebrate a decade of achievement and impact in our community. You won’t want to miss it! Read on below to see just what else we have planned.

Our gratitude goes to you and our 2018 Year-Round Sponsors for your continued support of ATG and our mission!  If you would like to join this fabulous roster and get in on the action, email us!

ORPHANAGE/UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN AID

This just in! In 2017, ATG’s budget of $3,000 enabled our ground volunteers in Cambodia to distribute food items including fish sauce, soy sauce, sardines, noodles and rice to 164 children across 16 small churches in 5 different provinces and remote villages.  Aid from ATG is the only source of support for these orphans who live with their relatives or grandparents. They have very little means, lacking basic needs such as food, school supplies and clothes, and we thank you for giving us the ability to help them.

Vietnam Report
In November and December of 2017, ATG volunteers mobilized to help children in the coastal areas several damaged by Typhoon Damrey, selecting 350 students from 10 different schools to award aid packages of waterproof jackets, backpacks, notebooks, other school supplies and milk. We also provided rice and other needed food items to Uu Dam, an orphanage in Hue, whose supply was running low so they could get through the harsh winter months. We are happy to hear that five more children from Uu Dam got accepted to Universities, one of those is in Australia (on full scholarship).

This past December, we made a second disbursement in Thailand. With the assistance of our country ambassador, we were able to  provide aid to 71 underprivileged migrant children from the ages of 3-10 years old in the form of clothes, nutritious food for school lunches, milk, drinking water, supplementary food for small children, first aid kits and learning materials. When it was explained to one of the children who ATG is, a little girl said, now I know who ATG are; they are kind people from the other side of the sky.”

We thank you, our country advisors, ambassadors and our ground volunteers for your generous support of our mission to help these children in need and for allowing us to make a positive, direct impact on their lives.
