CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: TAYLOR RING
David Ring and John Taylor of Taylor Ring of Manhattan Beach
It's no question that Taylor Ring, one of Southern California’s top plaintiff trial law firms, was gaining attention before bringing Cavalry PR on board. Partners John C. Taylor and David M. Ring are highly experienced litigators, often handling high stakes and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. With some of the most famous sexual assault and police abuse cases in the nation, it's no wonder that they've turned quite a few heads. Still, with Cavalry PR, Taylor and Ring are promoting themselves on new platforms and receiving even greater media recognition.

"Cavalry PR truly understands the media," Ring says. "They have great connections and skills that differentiate them from competing firms."

Taylor's high profile cases include representing the family of Lana Clarkson, who was murdered by music producer Phil Spector. In 2015, Ring won a settlement of $14 million on behalf of two women who were sexually abused by their middle school teacher - setting the record for largest per victim settlement in the United States.

Recently, Cavalry PR featured Taylor in the latest Cavalry Charge podcast to discuss the topic of police malfeasance and garnered significant buzz over Ring's wrongful termination suit against ESPN on behalf of sportscaster Doug Adler.
LISTEN UP: We now produce podcasts
In the latest Cavalry Charge podcast, host David Bloom is joined by Taylor to discuss a variety of topics in relation to police involved shooting and abuse.

"There are things that are very good about (vehicle cameras) and there are mechanical issues with them, but I'm a fan of it because I think it protects both the civilians and the police officers," said Taylor.
Click here to listen to Taylor share his experiences with how ambush killings of cops are affecting juries and his tremendous insights into the impact of body cameras, vehicle cameras, and social media on such abuse. And contact Cavalry PR to discuss our podcasts and other legal and litigation PR services.
ADLER VS ESPN
Ring represented sportscaster Doug Adler in a wrongful termination lawsuit against ESPN after Adler was fired due to a misinterpretation of his description of Venus Williams' "guerrilla style" of play. Just minutes after the suit was filed, the Cavalry PR team was spreading the word to the press. In the end, the lawsuit was reported by over 50 media outlets including the Associated Press, Reuters, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Sports Illustrated. It was also covered by numerous television and radio networks including ABC, CBS, Fox News, the John and Ken Show on KFI, and NBC LA’s Going Roggin.
“The Amazon Echo can seem like your best friend - until it betrays you.”

Cavalry PR is also a specialist in IP law and legal-tech PR. Case in point: earlier this week, we landed Sauer & Wagner’s Gerald Sauer a guest-expert column in Wired.

The piece illustrates the privacy issues that come with using Amazon Echo and a recent case in which Arkansas police demanded information from the Echo of a murder suspect. Cavalry PR worked with Sauer to develop an angle on this topic which enabled him to showcase his own specialities within a story structure that worked for Wired. Cavalry PR has several journalists on the team who tap their journalistic instincts and contacts to line up clients with these types of high-profile, mainstream and niche media opportunities that many PR firms simply don't have the skillset to execute. Wired also included the piece in its daily newsletter, exposing Sauer to an even wider audience.

Cavalry PR also placed this column for Sauer in the most recent edition of Attorney At Law.
