Camden Climate Change Alliance and Veolia are hosting a free webinar on Camden Recycles Cups on 2nd March, 10am – 10.45am. Learn more about the project, where the cups go and how to get involved. Participants in the project receive free training and single use cup recycling collections.

Businesses in Camden account for 66% of direct emissions, therefore installing solar PV can significantly improve the energy efficiency of your building whilst helping to demonstrate to your clients your commitment to tackling the climate crisis.

Solar Together is group-buying scheme open to all Camden residents, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and some Commonhold Associations.

The scheme helps residents and organisations to purchase low-cost, high-quality solar panels, or add battery storage to existing panels, and contributes to tackling the climate crisis in Camden.

It's Fairtrade Fortnight, the annual celebration of all things Fairtrade.  

This year’s events will highlight the growing challenges that climate change brings to the farmers and workers in the communities which work with the Fairtrade Foundation.

The Fairtrade Foundation is running an online festival: the Choose The World You Want Festival 2022. There will be talks, workshops, farm visits and interactive activities.

Our case study on climate action in Camden this month is on Camden Recycling Rewards - a digital engagement programme which rewards residents for reducing the amount they waste, reusing what they can and recycling more. It works in conjunction with Jump.  Residents commit to green actions and earn ‘Green Points’ for each action they complete.

The scheme has helped 6,142 residents reduce carbon emissions in Camden, with an estimated 149,263kg of carbon avoided since June 2019.

In addition, every year £3,000 is donated to local charities and community groups on behalf of the communities that earn the most Green Points per person.
