Camden School Climate Charter - Update
Unsure what declaring an ecological and climate crisis means?
Declaring a climate and ecological crisis means committing to doing all that you can in your school to tackle the climate crisis. What does this look like? That's up to you!
If you're unsure, you might want to ask your school:
- What does it mean to you?
- How can you deliver climate action?
- What are you already doing?
- What charter commitments will you choose to work towards in Year One?
The charter is about giving schools the freedom and creativity to address the climate crisis in a way that best suits the school.
Have you declared an ecological and climate crisis?
Let us know so we can promote what your school is doing through our network channels and let's encourage more schools in Camden to sign the charter and announce their declarations.
Have you chosen your 3 charter commitments?
Get in touch and let us know which commitments you are progressing in Year One. Let's share what we're doing and how we're doing it - email us here.
If you need help identifying priority areas and choosing your commitments, Think and Do can come into your school to run a Climate Connectors workshop to help establish them. Contact Think and Do here.
Have you taken a look at the Schools Climate Action Planner? Use the tool to start to build your commitments and actions into an achievable Climate Action Plan for your school. Access the tool here.
Charter signatories will begin to receive their certificates over the next week.
For more information about signing the charter, see here.
