We just celebrated Easter Weekend. Our Good Friday service was so full that we were getting ready to turn people away (we didn't have to thankfully!). Easter Sunday saw almost 30 kids here and a total attendance over our average attendance last year! This is all during a pandemic! We also held services in a second location, Westchester Station! And we got to celebrate Communion for the first time in a year!
Good stuff is going on and God is doing something big!
I have had several conversations in the past week with people about the future of God's Kingdom here in Cumberland County. Many people have mentioned to me in the past that they felt a heavy spiritual oppression over this area, but the conversations I have been having are showing me that that oppression is losing strength. Actually, I think we are on the edge of that breaking and we are very soon going to see God do work here like He has never done before!
I have also been watching as God has been setting up this new movement, and how He has been taking ground in preparation. I have been watching as individuals are growing in their submission and faith to Jesus, and then seeing them grow in victory in their families, and changes in our church, and now I believe we are going to see victory in our community!
And for this to take hold, we need to make sure that we are ready.
Confess those lingering sins, spend time focusing on Jesus, don't just think about what you should do to strengthen your marriage, do it, and go wherever He calls you to go!

1. On Good Friday we saw our friend Allison Taylor get baptized!
2. We began services at the Westchester Wesleyan Church on Good Friday, and despite the bad weather, held an Easter service there on Sunday!
3.Congratulations to Troy & Paula Richards and Kim & Jamie Bullen who completed The Marriage Course and won the Gift Cards for a Date Night!

Last Sunday's Message

We began a new series examining the life of Saul, who later became known as Paul. We learned about how at one point he stood and watched a man give his life for sharing about Jesus. Saul watched and approved the execution, even though he could see all the evidence for Jesus.

What We Learned:
Acts 7:54:8:1a
The evidence exists to support Jesus' resurrection, but you still have to choose.

What's Happening

Stronger Together and Emotional Intelligence Seminar
May 1st from 9am-Noon we will be holding our Stronger Together event, as well as a special seminar on Emotional Intelligence! More details will be available as the date approaches.

Sundays @ 9:30am Services
Our Sunday service at 11am is filling up to the point that we are running out of room. Would you consider, if you are able and don't have children going to Konnect Kids at 11, switching to the 9:30am service? The more people who join us at 9:30, the more room we have for families and visitors at 11am.

Senior Volunteers
We are relaunching out Seniors Ministry. Sharon Taylor has stepped up to lead the effort to minister to and reach the seniors of our community, and she is hard at work developing ideas, putting events together and recruiting a team of leaders! We still need lots of volunteers though, especially to run events. We need all sorts of volunteers to serve in lots of different ways. If you're willing to serve,  reach out to Sharon at 902-669-1330 (Mobile) and let her know!

Konnect Kids
We are launching Konnect Kids again! Kids ages 2-12 can join the fun on Sundays on-site at AWC at 11am! Parents can register their kids when they register for the worship service!

Celebrate Recovery
The God of the Bible, The Father, Son & Holy Spirit are THE higher power – the only one that can be in control.
Only 1/3 of people who attend Celebrate Recovery (CR) do so because of a chemical addiction, the rest are hurts and hang ups. Hurts: abuse, emotional, physical and sexual. Hang-ups: bitterness, anger, trust, do not measure up Habits: behaviours and addictions
You don’t need to hit rock bottom before starting recovery. The 8 principles are based on the beatitudes and the 12 steps flow out of the principles. Join us Tuesday nights, the doors open at 6:15 pm (starts at 6:30). Masks are required and physical distancing will be observed. You can register HERE or call the church at 902 667 9126.

Did you know that you can do church wherever you are? We put together special content each week so you can do church at home! You can find our videos here!

Register for On-Site Services
If you'd like to attend AWC on-site (live in-person on Sunday), you can register ahead of time by clicking here, (you will also see all of our safety measures and instructions listed there) or you can call us or show up on Sunday and register there. We have limited seating available due to COVID-19 so seating is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Konnect Kids Online
If you've got kids, or grandkids, nieces or nephews, and you'd like them to grow in faith, character and wisdom, you might want to check out our online resources for kids! Since we can't effectively do in-person kids events every week, we are trying to put together high-quality online resources each week.
Check out our Konnect Kids facebook page!
Find our Konnect Kids videos for pre-school (Bible Adventures) and school-age students (Konnect HQ) on our Youtube Channel Here.

Thursday Prayer
We are starting back up our Thursday Prayer & Fasting time. We encourage everyone to take Thursday at noon to fast and pray. You can join us on facebook Live on our AWC facebook page Thursdays at noon sharp too!

EDGE Youth
Our teen ministry is using a combination of online and in-person events and services to connect teens with their faith and each other. You can find out more on their facebook group here.
