There are about 30 000 people in the county of Cumberland. 9 000 of those people live in Amherst. That leaves 21 000 people in our county that we aren't effectively positioned to reach. There are some very good churches in our county working to reach the lost, but there are not enough of them to reach all 20 000! It also is not rational to think that just because we are a church in Amherst that people will drive in from all corners of the county to hear the Gospel. No, if we want to reach these people, we need to go to them.

On Sunday I mentioned that I had met with the Westchester Wesleyan Church about partnering with us, and that they would be voting on Wednesday March 3rd about it. Well, the votes came in and they have accepted our proposal! That means the AWC staff will be pastoring both AWC and Westchester Wesleyan Church (WWC)! This will allow us to combine resources, connections, and effort to reach more people in ways neither of us could do on our own!

We will officially begin running Sunday services in Westchester in April!

Stay tuned for lots of details and opportunities! God is doing something massive here!

1. Westchester Wesleyan Church has voted in favour of partnering with AWC!
2. Work has begun on Children’s content for a Grief Support Group
3. We have again had more people sign up for The Marriage Course!
4. There is another very special announcement being made on Sunday... it might be about our new Assistant Pastor...

Last Sunday's Message

On Sunday we looked at the story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife. We saw that the wife was deep into sin, but had everyone fooled that she was the perfect wife. It was destroying her marriage and could have very easily destroyed Joseph too.

What We Learned:
Genesis 39:7-20
The appearance of perfection has a habit of destroying other people.

Celebrate Recovery
The God of the Bible, The Father, Son & Holy Spirit are THE higher power – the only one that can be in control.
Only 1/3 of people who attend Celebrate Recovery (CR) do so because of a chemical addiction, the rest are hurts and hang ups. Hurts: abuse, emotional, physical and sexual. Hang-ups: bitterness, anger, trust, do not measure up Habits: behaviours and addictions
You don’t need to hit rock bottom before starting recovery. The 8 principles are based on the beatitudes and the 12 steps flow out of the principles. Join us Tuesday nights, the doors open at 6:15 pm (starts at 6:30). Masks are required and physical distancing will be observed. You can register HERE or call the church at 902 667 9126.
