Meet Bradford Jordan, our new Assistant Pastor starting this July! Brad has been married to his wife Olivia for about 4 years now, and he has been serving in major ministry roles for the last 5 years. He has experience doing youth ministry in Moncton, Sussex, Presque Isle Maine, and Blacks Harbour NB. Brad has spent the last 3 years in Blacks Harbour as their full-time Youth Pastor and has essentially built their Youth Ministry from the ground up!

Brad has a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology, a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries, and an Associate of Arts Degree in Compassion and Evangelism Ministry. He is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church, and enjoys hockey and stuff...!

We are planning to connect Brad with AWC before July through video calls and video presentations! We are excited to get to know him more and see how God uses him here in Cumberland!

1. We have at least one new volunteer with our First Impressions Team!
2. Grieving Hearts is seeing 4-5 people consistently attend, all of whom are not otherwise connected with AWC!
3. We have at least one person signed up for Baptism on Good Friday!!

Last Sunday's Message

Not too many things in life feel worse than being a victim of theft. We deal with people who steal from us, and we deal with spiritual being who steal from us. They take what isn't theirs and leave us hurt, damaged, and violated. Often we don't even realize they are a thief until it is too late. But God sent Jesus to take back what the enemy has stolen and to give us good life!

What We Learned:
John 10:7-10
We need to recognize who is a shepherd and who is a thief.

Reminder Phrase:
Thief or Shepherd?

What's Happening

Easter Outreach & Invites! (NEW)
This Easter we are encouraging and challenging all attenders of AWC to reach out to a person in their life who doesn't know Jesus. We will be providing you with invites and a how-to guide starting Sunday, March 21st. We believe God is speaking to people already. We are praying to see at least fifty new people between Good Friday and Easter Sunday! With man it may not seem possible, but with God, all things are possible!

Work Day March 20th
We will be holding a work day on Saturday March 20th from 9:30am until noon. We will be doing some cleaning and painting and other indoor jobs. We need as many people to help out as possible! We hope that you can make it!

Membership Class
We will be holding a membership class on Saturday March 27th at 9:30am. If you're interested in becoming a member, or would like to know what being a member of AWC is all about, we hope that you will join us on March 27th!

Stronger Together and Emotional Intelligence Seminar
May 1st from 9am-Noon we will be holding our Stronger Together event, as well as a special seminar on Emotional Intelligence! More details will be available as the date approaches.

We are planning a baptism for Good Friday, April 2nd, during the evening service. If you're interested in being baptized or would like more information about it, please contact us and let us know.

Konnect Kids
We are launching Konnect Kids again! Kids ages 2-12 can join the fun on Sundays on-site at AWC at 11am! Parents can register their kids when they register for the worship service!

Celebrate Recovery
The God of the Bible, The Father, Son & Holy Spirit are THE higher power – the only one that can be in control.
Only 1/3 of people who attend Celebrate Recovery (CR) do so because of a chemical addiction, the rest are hurts and hang ups. Hurts: abuse, emotional, physical and sexual. Hang-ups: bitterness, anger, trust, do not measure up Habits: behaviours and addictions
You don’t need to hit rock bottom before starting recovery. The 8 principles are based on the beatitudes and the 12 steps flow out of the principles. Join us Tuesday nights, the doors open at 6:15 pm (starts at 6:30). Masks are required and physical distancing will be observed. You can register HERE or call the church at 902 667 9126.

Did you know that you can do church wherever you are? We put together special content each week so you can do church at home! You can find our videos here!

Konnect Kids Online
If you've got kids, or grandkids, nieces or nephews, and you'd like them to grow in faith, character and wisdom, you might want to check out our online resources for kids! Check out our Konnect Kids facebook page!
Find our Konnect Kids videos for pre-school (Bible Adventures) and school-age students (Konnect HQ) on our Youtube Channel Here.

We are starting back up our Thursday Prayer & Fasting time. We encourage everyone to take Thursday at noon to fast and pray. You can join us on facebook Live on our AWC facebook page Thursdays at noon sharp too!

EDGE Youth
Our teen ministry is using a combination of online and in-person events and services to connect teens with their faith and each other. You can find out more on their facebook group here.
