One of the hardest parts of life is trying to do the right thing for a long time. Doing the right thing once in a while isn't a huge burden, but when you have to do it day after day after day with no end in sight, it can get exhausting. It's exhausting not because it is good, but because more often than not the right thing is not the easy thing and it is not the "normal" thing to do. Whether it is in how we treat others, our commitments to our spouse, how we use our money, the way we talk about others, of the way we respond to rules around this pandemic, we need to keep aiming to do the right thing every day. We don't need to pretend it's easy, but we do know it is best. Hang in there and know that you aren't alone in this.

Last Sunday's Message

Pastor Linda shared with us about the nature of Church and how it isn't a place, but it is the gathering of people with the intent of giving focus to Jesus. It's great when we can all gather together, but even if it can't be all of us together, or in the church building, we can do Church anywhere!

What We Learned:
Hebrews 10:24-25 & Matthew 18:20
We can do Church anywhere!

What's Happening

Mondays at 7pm starting Oct 5th! Register here!
This is for anyone looking to learn more about the basics of Christianity. This is intended for those who aren't yet followers of Jesus and it is designed to be a safe enviornment for anyone who is at all curious about Christianity! If you're already a follower of Jesus, you can attend if you bring someone who hasn't decided to follow Jesus yet.

Did you know that you can do church wherever you are? We put together special content each week so you can do church at home! We will be updating things on Sunday Sept 13th to make them even better for church at home (or as we call them, Mobile-Sites)! You can find our videos here!

Register for On-Site Services
If you'd like to attend AWC on-site (live in-person on Sunday), you can register ahead of time by clicking here, (you will also see all of our safety measures and instructions listed there) or you can call us or show up on Sunday and register there. We have limited seating available due to COVID-19 so seating is provided in a first-come-first-serve basis.

Mobile Sites
If you'd like to continue doing church where you are, in your home or someone else's home, and would like to become an offical AWC-Mobile Site to receive extra support and resources, click here to register!

Small Groups
We have a number of small group options this year, using in-person and online connection methods. Click here to see the options and sign-up now!

The Big Give
We had so much donated for our Big Give that we have to do a second event! Spread the word, Saturday Sept 19th will be The Big Give round 2!

Konnect Kids Online
If you've got kids, or grandkids, neices or nephews, and you'd like them to grow in faith, character and wisdom, you might want to check out our online resources for kids! Since we can't effectively do in-person kids events every week, we are trying to put together high quality online resources each week.
Check out our Konnect Kids facebook page!
Find our Konnect Kids videos for pre-school (Bible Adventures) and school age students (Konnect HQ) on our Youtube Channel Here.

Thursday Prayer
We are starting back up our Thursday Prayer & Fasting time. We encourage everyone to take Thursday at noon to fast and pray. You can join us on facebook Live on our AWC facebook page Thursdays at noon sharp too!

EDGE Youth
Our teen ministry is using a combination of online and in-person events and services to connect teens with their faith and each other. You can find out more on their facebook group here.

If you or someone you know is interested in Baptism, either finding out more about it, or would like to be baptised, please contact us by replying to this email! We are planning a Baptism for Sunday Oct 4th!

Here are a few points of celebration, or "Wins" from this past week:
1. EDGE Youth just got in their new Flamingo Season signs! Be on the look out for flocks of flamingos soon!
2. Our Building Team has almost completed the install of the new LED parking lot light at the back of the church!
3. The Worship Team is adapting quickly to new projects and assignments, while engaging more volunteers and leaders. There are lots of moving pieces and they are coming together well!
If you've got questions, feedback or suggestions, we want to hear from you!
Just reply to this email!
We hope to see you soon!
