Did you know that our church has a guide for what kind of ministry we do and how we do it?

You've probably heard us say that we are:

down-to-earth people
following Jesus
in down-to-earth ways

But you may not be aware that everything we do aims to:

create opportunities for people to search boldly, connect honestly, serve humbly and worship fully.

Plus, we feel we need to do these three things for those opportunities to be successful in helping people follow Jesus:
  • Be relevant
  • Equip & empower our people
  • Reach out
So, do you think it's working? Are we doing it? Are you part of it yet?

1. Christmas is the Worst went well.  Good conversations with grieving people.  The team did an amazing job!
2. People are talking on social media and with their connections in AWC about how thankful they were to receive the gift cards we delivered to homes around the church!
3. One person who received the gift card from our Xmas Wrap-Up: Around the Block initiative actually contacted Pastor Jamin, returned the gift card and donated $500 to support the project further!

Last Sunday's Message

We have looked at a lot this past month on how to go from unresolved to resolved.
  • Seeking and giving forgiveness is how you change the future.
  • Resolution comes from repentance, not running away.
  • Resolution starts with HOW you approach the other person.
  • To break a cycle there has to be an intervention.

And this past Sunday we realized that resolution is our responsibility even when we aren't to blame for the situation that occurred. God gives us clear guidelines in those circumstances, and it goes against how we normally operate, but they can create incredible freedom and incredible change!

What We Learned:
Romans 12:17-21 7 1 Peter 3:9
Holding onto a grudge leaves you the victim, but giving a blessing instead of taking revenge makes you a conqueror.

Reminder Phrase:
Conquer by Blessing

What's Happening

Christmas Eve Service Registrations (NEW)
We are getting ready for Christmas Eve already! We have two services to choose from, both on December 24th, one at 5:30pm and one at 7:00pm.  We expect our available seats to fill up this year, and with our limited capacity and COVID-safe procedures in place, we want to be ahead of the game.  Please register early to reserve your seats! Click here to fill out our online form!

Christmas Wrap-Up: Around the Block (UPDATED)
There are people living within reach of the church who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Christmas, we want to show them the love of Jesus with the hope of other conversations to come. We have purchased 45 ten dollar gift cards from McDonald's, and McDonald's has donated ANOTHER 45 gift cards of the same value! Praise God!

We attached the gift cards to a Christmas card, and delivered them to more than 80 houses around the church! On the Christmas cards we made an offer to help people with gas, groceries, winter clothes, or yard work. In order for them to receive help, they will need to contact the church. When this happens, we will share the request with the church and look for volunteers to step up and bless these people with their request. If you'd like to help fill these needs as they come in, could you contact Pastor Jamin to let him know?

Jamin's number is 1-902-890-9759, and his email is

Celebrate Recovery
The God of the Bible, The Father, Son & Holy Spirit are THE higher power – the only one that can be in control.
Only 1/3 of people who attend Celebrate Recovery (CR) do so because of a chemical addiction, the rest are hurts and hang ups. Hurts: abuse, emotional, physical and sexual. Hang-ups: bitterness, anger, trust, do not measure up Habits: behaviours and addictions
You don’t need to hit rock bottom before starting recovery. The 8 principles are based on the beatitudes and the 12 steps flow out of the principles. Join us Tuesday nights, the doors open at 6:15 pm (starts at 6:30). Masks are required and physical distancing will be observed. You can register HERE or call the church at 902 667 9126.
