Meditation for the second Week of Lent
. Listen to Him. It is wonderful to begin this week acknowledging that we need God’s help in listening and hearing. It is so powerful to ask for the “gift of integrity” – to express our desire for wholeness. And, we humbly ask for light in the midst of whatever might “shadow our vision”. This is the God who allows Jesus to be transfigured before his disciples, to prepare them for what they were about to face. This is our God, who can give each of us the change of heart we ask for.

The Traveling Icon of the Most Holy Family.
This icon is found in our church. This week traveling Icon is taken by the Golas Family
. We prepared a short prayer book in Ukrainian and English with intentions and Gospel readings for every day of the week. The goal is to foster family prayer life. This is a good opportunity to invite priests, friends and acquaintances to come over and pray together. If you want this Icon to visit your home, please contact the church office to set a date.
When Receiving Holy Communion
Please follow the instructions of our ushers. Please approach in two lines up the central aisle but exit after receiving Holy Communion down the side of the church. Those coming up the side aisles should exit to the sides of the church as well.
This Tuesday, we will be selling Perohy from 9:00 to 1:00. We do not need any help in the kitchen next week. Thank you!
Our Official Photographer
for our parish archives and Facebook is Martha Humeniuk. We are grateful for her volunteer work. Please do not reprimand her for taking photographs as these are going to be greatly appreciated by future generations. These photographs are also important for the exchange of ideas for liturgical and cultural practice between parishes.
