False Threat Traced To Dominican Student

Dear Dominican High School families,

We want to alert you to a situation that happened at school today.

At approximately 8:40 a.m., a call originating in Whitefish Bay was made to 911. The caller made a false claim about a potential threat to a nonspecific school. The Whitefish Bay Police Department contacted all area schools and eventually traced the phone number to a student who attends Dominican.

The student was immediately removed from class, and the police and Dominican’s Administration determined there was no threat to the Dominican community.

While we are absolutely certain that our students, faculty and staff were never in any danger, a student did place an inappropriate 911 call while on campus. Dominican High School has strong policies against threatening behaviors or speech, and all security issues are managed rigorously. A disciplinary investigation is in progress, and we remain in close alignment with law enforcement.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Edward Foy
