Dear King’s Cross Family,

In difficult and divisive times, we need more than ever a solid foundation. The only true Rock we have in this life and in the next is Jesus Christ our Savior. Since we began meeting together, the reason for us gathering as King's Cross has been to Grow in our knowledge of and love for Jesus, and to glorify Him in our lives.

This Sunday we're excited to have Matthew DeLong join us again, preaching on Luke 18. We hope you'll join us outside Sunday at Algonkian Shelter #1 at 10:15am!

Here's what you should know
DIGITAL WORSHIP GUIDES for this Sunday are available now at kingscrossva.org/livestream. You can print and use them at home, bring them with you, or can simply view them on your device during worship.
MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. Because we will be singing together, out of abundance of caution we ask that everyone keep their face protection on during our time together. If your doctor has told you specifically not to wear a mask, we ask you to wear a face shield (we will have a few new ones available).
WHAT TO BRING: We will have extra picnic blankets, sanitizer, masks, toys for the kids, etc., but we encourage you to bring your own.
PLEASE NOTE: Our goal is that everyone will keep a 6-ft social distance, children included, but we ask all who attend to understand that some of the younger members of the Body of Christ are still learning what social distancing means, and might forget occasionally (even when their parents are trying as best they can). In anticipation of this, our amazing children's ministry team has put together children's activity kits that will be available on site.
SHOULD I STAY HOME? If you or someone in your household are experiencing or have experienced COVID-like symptoms recently, or you know you've been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID, please stay home and consider getting tested.

For Christ and the gospel,
UPDATE: Our Backpack Buddies signup now only has 16 slots remaining through December. Thank you for helping us feed these students. We supplement the Trailside Middle School meal program so each Backpack Buddies student has food on the weekends. To sign up, CLICK HERE.
Our Men's Bible study meets for our next lesson on Nov 3. We are studying James with the aid of Jon Nielson's James: Portrait of a Living Faith, meeting every other Tuesday. You can buy a copy on Amazon or you can let Pastor Paul know and he'll bring one for you Sunday.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

    “For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
        we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
    No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
