Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
On April 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., turn in your unused or expired prescription medication for safe disposal as part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Collection sites will be located on the medical center campus (in front of the Vagelos Education Center) and Morningside campus (College Walk, West 116th Street & Broadway). Only pills or patches will be collected; the collection sites cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps. The service is free, anonymous (no questions asked), and open to the public. This initiative is sponsored by the Columbia University Department of Public Safety, New York City Police Department, and Drug Enforcement Administration.
Database Workshop at the CUMC Library
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to the CUMC Library’s first Database Laboratory on April 25 at 3 p.m. This workshop offers a hands-on approach to improving your search strategies, providing an opportunity to enjoy self-directed learning under the guidance of an informationist.
