Blood Donation Awareness Event
Community Barnet are holding a Community Coffee and chat where we will be discussing the increasing importance of blood donations.

We want to hear from members of the Black community in North and East London about their experiences as well as answering your questions.

We need your help in spreading awareness and help to tackle health inequalities!

10 ways to feel happier with your body as the world reopens

As pandemic restrictions are lifted in England, many of us will be returning to offices and meeting up with friends for the first time in more than a year – and some of us may not look the same way we did in pre-Covid times. We may have gained weight, or lost muscle, or simply look more tired than before. Perhaps we harboured vague goals of returning to the world with sculpted abs and perky posteriors, but life in a pandemic puts paid to the best-laid plans.

Connect- Community Focus

Are you struggling with using your computer? Are you feeling out of touch with the new Digital age? Why not join Community Focus' Digital Skill workshops!

These are free workshops for adults over 55 with courses offered both online or in-house sessions. 

The course provides basic IT skills, with a follow-up digital arts course (and exhibition) to help with providing a memorable approach to learning. If students have to work from home/online then they can provide an iPad for you to borrow. 

Art made during these sessions will then be exhibited in November 2021.

There will be x2 6-week workshops and an exhibition. 

  • Workshop 1: Digital Skills 22nd July - 26th August 2021 THURSDAYS. 
  • Workshop 2: Digital Arts 9th September - 14th October 2021 THURSDAYS.

Be Active- Taekwondo

Missing being Active? Want to have fun and try something new? Why not try Taekwondo!

Delivered by Self-defence London, embrace and learn about 
The Korean Martial Art of Taekwondo and help to improve your fitness, confidence and self defence!

Their next session will be held on Wednesday the 18th August 6:30 - 7:30pm and is for Beginners and Advanced people of all ages!

Feeling stressed? Want to Improve your well-being and give yourself a general boost? Then why not try out TDF's therapy services!

TDF is a charity that provides complementary therapy services to disabled people, anyone suffering from a chronic health issue or medical condition, as well as those involved in their care, including NHS staff. Therapies are offered face-to-face and some are offered online.

TDF offer a variety of therapies to suit your needs, including: Remedial Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Thai yoga massage, and Chiropody!

Manic Mondays? Beat the blues with Mindfulness Mondays and help yourself to better mental health!

This event is all about Improving your well-being and wellness. Learn new techniques to guide you through difficult times and to discuss worries and concerns in a safe place with the right support.


These sessions run every Monday at 12pm.

Barnet Council need your ideas on a new public square in Finchley Central

Barnet Council are keen to give everyone who lives, works, runs a business or organisation or visits Finchley Central the opportunity to have their say. They have developed a set of proposals and designs based on the community engagement carried out over the last year and now want to hear your views.

Vaccinations in Barnet and North Central London

To date the NHS have given over 1.78 million jabs in NCL.

This is a reminder that the NHS are offering walk-in appointments at some of our large vaccination centres and PCN sites. A list of which venues are currently offering a walk-in service is available here and will be updated daily. All adults can also still book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at any of our large vaccination centres or pharmacy sites online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119.
