You are receiving this bulletin because you have been a recent presenter at WWC. Thank you for your support. When Words Collide is a unique type of festival where everyone–organizers and presenters–volunteer their time and talents to bring readers and writers together in a celebratory weekend. Without you, there would be no festival.
Thank you for your understanding of our January decision that there were too many unknowns to risk an in-person festival next August. Response to the new online format we are trying this year (as described in Bulletin #1) has been generally positive. Several affiliates are in the process of creating a track of programming to expand the scope of our 2022 festival. Our goal is to increase affiliate involvement and credit them for their content.
Where We Are At
Due to our new format, the festival is not at this time seeking presenters for workshops or panel discussions. We and our participating affiliates will advertise in future bulletins those sessions that require presenters. However, as in previous years, we do wish to include opportunities for Blue Pencil Café and Pitch Sessions. If you are willing to offer these services, please let us know so we can add you to our documentation. Note: we will collect contact information for those looking to receive these services and forward them to you for scheduling, preferably in the days immediately prior to or following the festival weekend.
If you no longer wish to receive these bulletins you may unsubscribe from the programming email list by clicking the link near the bottom of this email. (If you are already scheduled in the program, please let us know that you are no longer available.) You may also re-subscribe at any time or sign up with a different email address by clicking the following link and clicking on "Presenters: Find all Programming Bulletins here":
If you feel you are not receiving these emails (i.e. your provider blocks them as SPAM), you may access them any time via the above link.
While our affiliates are organizing their content, one (Brain Lag) has sent us a proposed schedule they are developing. We hope to receive additional content soon as well as a go-ahead to seek presenters. Our plan is to open Eventbrite free registration on Easter weekend. If our schedule is developed enough, we will publish a tentative schedule at that time.
