Schools are not just targets for violence, they are fodder for every type of anti-Christian issue imaginable. It sometimes seems that anything and everything but God and prayer are welcome in "educational" institutions. Godly teachers can also be targets and may have to choose between honoring God or risking their job. The Bible is clear about the need but doesn't candy coat the serious nature of the job:
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 NKJV
"My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." James 3:1 NKJV
As we focus on our schools in prayer this month, pray for
- Safety
- Wisdom to teachers and principals
- School boards
- Superintendents
- Godly teachers
