Ms. Knowlton's first-grade class had fun learning virtually to predict if the groundhog would or would not see his shadow. It turned out, our overall prediction was correct!
100th Day of School
To celebrate the 100th Day of School today Mrs. Snyder's students completed a 100th Day Spaghetti Tower STEM Challenge. Mrs. Knowlton and Mrs. Hetu had a great day with their students dressing like they are 100 years old! Mrs. White's class created 100 Popcorn fractions, a virtual tour of what the world looked like 100 years ago, writing about our 100-year-old selves, and a STEM challenge using 100 spaghetti sticks and marshmallows to create tall towers.
Our students had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day vitrually and in person!
This week students in Mrs. Polniak's class learned about stars and constellations. Students created replicas of the constellations from toothpicks and marshmallows. Check it out -- and then go out and see them in the night sky!
International Day of Play
The Friday before break the 5th graders celebrated the International Day of Play (Feb. 3rd) by doing activities throughout the day. The activities were: bingo, making slime, art, board games, and dancing! The students had a great day of play!
