Message from our Miss!

Hi everyone!!

My name is Olivia Metz, and I am the Miss Wisconsin Job's Daughter for 2017-2018. My theme for this year is 'Hold On To What Makes You Happy'. For me, this theme is to show that no matter what hardships you go through, as long as you hold onto what means the most to you, you can break through the dark and continue on in life. Whether it be your pets, hobbies, or the sisters in the wonderful organization I've been chosen to represent, you must keep them close to be happy.
My duties this year are to represent Job's Daughters throughout the state, not only at other Masonic events but at other promotional opportunities that may arise.

If possible, I would like to be informed of any promotional events that happen at your Bethel this year (such as open houses, perspective member events, open meetings, initiations, etc.).
Thank you so much, and I can't wait to see you all in my travels! :)

Greetings from our Grand!

Hi, Emmalyn here!
I am the new Grand Bethel Honored Queen of Wisconsin and I just wanted share with you all a few things about myself. This Friday I will be starting my senior year of high school at West Allis Central. I have been in Job's Daughters for 7 and a half years; I joined Bethel 19 on February 13, 2010. Bethel 19 has supported me and helped me become the young woman I am today. I love mashed potatoes and swedish fish. My favorite animal is pigs 🐷 and they are my emblem for the year. My theme for the year is The Power Is Within You and it comes from the movie The Wizard of Oz when Glinda tells Dorothy she has had the power all along she just had to believe it for herself. I believe everyone has the power to achieve their dreams. This year I plan to travel to as many events as possible for both Job's Daughters and the other Masonic organizations. If there are any events you would like me to attend please let me know and I will make my best effort to be there!
If you have any questions you would like to ask me or just want to talk please feel free to message me!
*If you don't know what Job's Daughters is please feel free to ask me all about it!
Greetings!
Jamboree has passed and has been quite an exceptional time for HIKE. With so many things happening at Jamboree I wanted to make sure that I thanked everyone for purchasing items from our HIKE table. Your money is going towards a great purpose and I couldn’t be prouder that Jamboree was a success for HIKE. We sold so many t-shirts! I came with 30 t-shirts and left with only 3! I also came with 2 full bags of lanyards and left with 1! Even the chocolate sold like crazy! We had ten and left with 6 ½ boxes of chocolate. That is insane!!!!!
Another thing I would like to point out is that the HIKE jog early Saturday morning was great! I enjoyed your tired, but still smiling faces. Even those who were pushing all the way to the finish line. Also congrats to those who earned medals at the pageant. I hope that Dad Noble and Nina Fullington can beat their times next year!
As Mom Ciagle said our pockets are still feeling a little empty, so I am glad to accept donations to HIKE at any time. We will still be selling t-shirts as well order forms will be given out so you can sell! Size will then include S-5XL. Chocolate, lanyards, and bracelets will still be sold throughout the rest of the year and I will carry them wherever I go.
So I am sure some are wonder how well HIKE did at jamboree? So to answer your question, it was great. Our total sales of candy bars, lanyards, bracelets and shirts came to $927! I can assure you that is a very good number to see and we will continue to add to that number with the sales of these items. Thank you to all who contributed!
Just a little reminder that you are to mark your calendars for November 12th @ 11:30 @ Port Washington Masonic Center for the HIKE Tailgate party. More information is to come!!!!
With that, I would again like to thank everyone for purchasing HIKE items this jamboree and I hope to see everyone sometime soon and of course GO TEAM WISCONSIN!!!

Message From the Grand Guardian and Associate Grand Guardian

Hello Wisconsin!

It is Time:
Time to get back to a normal schedule,
Time to go back to school,
Time to put the fun of summer behind,
Time to get to work,
Time to focus,
A time to bloom, lead, soar,
To learn, to grow, to chase,
To give, to receive, to love,
THIS IS THE TIME TO CATCH EXCELLENCE!

There are many exciting things happening in Wisconsin Job’s Daughters and we want to encourage you to participate and get involved.  Check out the website for the latest information.

This month is packed full of events.  September 30 will be the Daughters Leadership Training.  The leadership committee has been working hard to plan a fun day.  Make sure to RSVP to Mom Collier, hcollier111012@gmail.com.  September 24 is the Grand Bethel Go to Church, see flyer on website for more information.

The GGC charity (Children’s Hospital) and the GBHQ charity (Our Military Kids) need your support, find more information on the website.

Information will soon be coming out on the GGC continuing fundraiser of selling Scrip Cards.  Dad Robert Johnson will be the driving force behind the sales this year.  Watch for order information coming to an e-mail and the website shortly.

Promote, Promote, Promote.  This is the time to promote the order. Why not talk to your friends at school, or to that new person you meet about Job’s Daughters. Invite them to an activity, friend’s night, open house, or just to hang out with you and your Jobie sisters.  It only takes a spark to get the Jobie fire burning.   But you have to keep the fire going, which starts with excellent ritual work.  Study your parts and show them what we are truly about.

Finally,
We want to again congratulate Emmalyn for being Elected GBHQ, Alleya on her selection as GBSP, and Olivia for becoming MWJD.  With this great leadership there is nothing that the Daughters of Wisconsin cannot accomplish.

As we Chase Perfection, we will Catch Excellence.
With Jobie Love,
Mom Wahlen & Dad Bingheim

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SEND ALL YOU INVITES TO INFO@WIJDI TO BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE.
