Dear Alumni & Friends,
 
One of the many things that makes Roman Catholic so unique, is the level of financial support offered by our Alumni and Donors to present day students. Your generous commitment to them is unparalleled.  Through the Roman Fund and Day of Giving, Cahillites and friends of Roman step-up, in unprecedented fashion, to support the mission of our historic school.
 
I would therefore like to inform you of a new initiative.  Faith in the Future, the nonprofit organization which manages the 17 high schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, has established a tuition-assistance program, where every gift donated to Roman will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. These monies are being used exclusively to help families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to keep their son enrolled at Roman.  For example, a $100 gift will become a $200 gift for Roman’s tuition assistance program. 
 
I know that throughout this past year, many of you have made sacrificial gifts—for that, we are exceedingly grateful.  Yet, if you have not yet made a gift, this would be a great opportunity to double your contribution to Roman and double the impact in a student’s life. Please consider supporting Roman Catholic by donating to this new tuition assistance program at give.faithinthefuture.com. Make sure to designate ROMAN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL FOR BOYS as the recipient of your gift.

Contactless Lawn Sign Pickups will be available every Wednesday in August ( August 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th) from 9-12 AM and 5-7 PM. Upon arrival at school for pick up, please call 215-627-1270 X113 to receive your lawn sign.  You will need to provide your name,  number of lawn signs purchased, and the make, model and color of your car.  We will then come out to your car with your sign(s) and place them in your trunk.

The next edition of "The Empire" slated to be released in late August is in production. A great part of each Empire is the class notes section which provides updates on the lives of our fellow Cahillites and at the moment we don't have too many updates.

We ask alumni or parents of alumni to please submit an update. These updates do not need to be long. Here are examples of how a class note can look using our founder's name Thomas Cahill as a placeholder

Recent graduate:

Thomas Cahill recently graduated from The University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Finance. He accepted a position as business manager for the Knickerbocker Coal & Ice Company.

Engagement:

Thomas Cahill got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Sophia on July 3rd, 2018 as they walked alongside Boat House Row.

Marriage:

Thomas Cahill married Sophia Cahill on August 12, 2019, at Old St. Mary's Church.

Child:

Thomas Cahill and his wife Sophia welcomed their first son, Thomas Cahill Jr. (nicknamed Cahillite) into the world on March 24, 2021.

Promotion or new job:

Thomas Cahill was recently promoted as President of the Knickerbocker Coal & Ice Company.

Award:

Thomas Cahill was awarded "Man of the Year" by the Philadelphia Foundation on May 19, 2027.

Retirement:

Thomas Cahill retired this year and is now residing in Naples, Florida with his wife Sophia. He enjoys his free time by fishing.
