Day of Giving / Gratitude 2020

On Tuesday May 19, 2020,  Roman Catholic High School held its Annual Day of Giving.  Our initial goal was to raise $50,000 from 500 donors.  Yet, thanks to the generosity of so many alumni and friends, that goal was far exceeded--the final tally was over $88,000 raised from 623 donors! This is a cause for great celebration! The response from the Roman family was nothing short of overwhelming.

All the monies donated will directly assist our students who have been adversely affected by the global pandemic.  As Roman strives to fulfill its mission of providing a well-rounded education rooted in faith, we know that many families are finding it increasingly difficult financially.  Your continued support of these deserving young men will help in their education and formation.

In appreciation for the success of the Annual Day of Giving, last Friday, one month after the Day of Giving, we held our first ever Day of Gratitude--a time for us to publicly thank all supporters of Roman. Our social media platforms presented personal messages, postings and reflections from our administration, faculty, staff and most importantly our students expressing their appreciation for your support.  Click on the social media links at the end of this email and listen to these heart-felt testimonials.

If you not yet given to the Roman Fund there is still time as the fiscal year ends on June 30. Thanks in advance for your support.

Are you a Pennsylvania resident owes $1,000 or more in State taxes annually? You may be eligible for the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This program allows individuals and businesses to direct the monies they pay in state taxes towards providing financial aid for Roman students rather than to the government. For a two year commitment you receive a tax credit for 90% of your contribution. It is truly a win-win! Click the image above for a full brochure with information on the program.
