Annual Blue Mass of Thanksgiving
Roman Catholic High School will hold its annual Blue Mass of Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 27 at 10:00 AM in the school gym/auditorium located on the third floor. Roman's Police, Fire, EMT, and first responding alumni are invited to attend. With a tradition that began in the Fall of 2007, after many Philadelphia Police Officers made the ultimate sacrifice, the Roman Catholic High School community dedicates the Mass before Thanksgiving break, as a Blue Mass of Thanksgiving, to honor and express appreciation to the Police Officers, Fire Fighters, EMT’s, and first responders of the City of Philadelphia. A small reception for our guests will take place following the Mass in Roman’s Information Center. Please contact Ms. Brown- firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Annual Veteran's Day Assembly

This year, Tai Shanahan '20 was presented with the Eisenhower Leadership Award from West Point. In addition, students read Bios of several alumni who served from World War I through the Cold War. A special remembrance in honor of the 75th anniversary of D-Day was also conducted to honor our alumni who stormed the beaches at Normandy, especially three of our alumni who are buried there: Charles "Dunnie" Keenan '43, Paul Logan '39, and Peter Bonner '21. James Logan '44 a WWII veteran was present with his grandson, Kevin Trahey '20, a current senior at Roman.
