Dear Mekong Tourism Stakeholder,

The Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office has announced the members of the Mekong Tourism Advisory Group 2020/2021 (MeTAG)

MeTag is a prestigious group of volunteers, appointed by the MTCO every year to assist in giving valuable advice, specific to programs, implemented in the public-private sector framework, Destination Mekong, and overseen by the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office. This includes:

  • Recommending Experience Mekong Collection members as one of the six annual Experience Mekong Showcases
  • Nominating individuals as Mekong Heroes
  • Judging the Mekong Mini Movie Festival campaign
  • Advising on the Mekong Innovative Startups in Tourism program (MIST)
  • Giving feedback on the annual Mekong Tourism Forum
  • Being an ambassador of Mekong Tourism and promoting the initiatives.
You can see all members of the MeTAG on Mekong Tourism Advisory Group is designed to be diverse, representing travel and tourism professionals from all six countries and as many sectors of the industry as possible. MeTAG also includes representatives from the tourism ministries of the six members governments of the GMS.
