February Events in the Mekong Region
A few exciting events are happening this month. Get involved:
> In Laos, the Wat Phou Festival is held annually on the full moon of the 3rd month of lunar calendar, on the grounds of the enchanting pre-Angkorian Wat Phou remains in Champasack.  
> In Chiang Rai, PATA will hold its Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart on February 17-19. The day prior, MTCO Executive Director is presenting at the PATA Chiang Rai Chapter.

> In Bangkok, the Conference educates the industry about digital marketing trends, sharing economy, and content management, as well entering source markets such as China and Russia via e-marketing. In the evening, the 3rd Digital Innovation Asia Awards honour best practices in digital innovation in Asia travel and tourism.
Instagram Account @Tourism Mekong is "liked". 
The Instagram account of the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office with the handle @TourismMekong got almost 5,000 likes from under 50 posts in less than six months. Follow us on Instagram and get inspired by the images that bring the Mekong Region alive. wins prestigious Website Award 
The Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office (MTCO) has won a 2015 Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Adrian Award for innovative website design and cutting edge marketing practices, for the recently re-launched digital platform. In addition to developing a new digital platform, MTCO has activated accounts on various social media platforms under the universal handle @TourismMekong. Please follow us on the various social media platforms.
Mekong Tourism is a collaborative effort between Cambodia, China, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand,
and Vietnam to promote the Greater Mekong Subregion as a single tourism destination.
