Coping with Stress (2 Week Course)
Week 1 -
This introduces the idea of what stress is, how it affects us and the unique way we experience it. You will map out what happens when YOU feel stress (your thoughts, emotions and physical symptoms) and learn why recognising the very start of pressure building is key. You will also learn several evidence-based tools that are known to activate the Parasympathetic Nervous System (our relaxed nervous state) and plan ahead on how to realistically incorporate them into your life.
Week 2 -
In this session, we delve deeper into the topic - understanding the science of happiness and how we can influence wellbeing chemicals in our brains. We will learn what simple behaviours and actions help stimulate these chemicals, and we will plan ahead how to do these in our daily lives, increasing our wellbeing.
