From The Heart

We are filled with gratitude for our generous supporters.  Together we are making a difference in the lives of pets and their people who don’t have much time left to share their bond of love. 

Giving Tuesday, the annual day of nonprofit support, is your chance to help a charity that holds a special place in your heart.  On Tuesday, November 30, we hope you will choose Pet Peace of Mind. 

Pet Peace of Mind programs all over the nation are helping patients with their pet care needs because of kind and generous people like you cared enough to give.  You are part of an important support group who wants to ease the anxiety of seriously ill patients and prevent pets from entering the shelter system when their humans pass.  Patients and their pets need to spend their final days together in peace, and they are counting on us to help them.


I’m Louis.  My family donates to Pet Peace of Mind every month.  My dad says he donates because “the human-animal bond works both ways…for pets and people.  Pet Peace of Mind respects this powerful truth at the time of greatest need in our lives.”

A New Home Fit For A King

Mercy Hospice, a Pet Peace of Mind program since 2018, knows how to make good things happen for patients and their pets.  In the past year alone, they have found loving new homes for 14 pets. 

King, a 5 year old Golden English Labrador, was in need of a new home when his human passed.  A happy, sweet dog, King gets into trouble when left alone for too long.  The patient’s niece told the Pet Peace of Mind team he needed someone who could spend time with him to retrain and focus his energy.  

Mercy’s team sent King’s information out to a few of the nursing homes they work with and within minutes heard back from one of the administrators.  He said his Golden English Labrador died a few months ago, and his wife is a dog trainer. Talk about the perfect fit!

King is thriving in his new home and loves their other pets and kids.
