Jean Days at Dixon Hughes Goodman supports FJPM

In 2012, Larry Hughes, Managing Partner of Healthcare at Dixon Hughes Goodman, joined the Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries board of directors, serving two years. A relationship was established between the firm and the ministry. Since 2013, Dixon Hughes Goodman has donated to the ministry from their Friday “Jean Days”. The concept is an employee pays $5 to wear jeans on Fridays. Recently, Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries received $600.00 from the Jean Days collection for the months of January and February. Thank you friends at Dixon Hughes! Contact the ministry office at info@forsythjpm.org if your business would like more details.
Northwest Baptist Celebrates Chaplain W. T. Hendrix

The organization’s first full-time chaplain, the Reverend W. T. Hendrix, was called in 1978 to serve with the newly formed Forsyth Prison Chaplaincy. W. T. had previously served as pastor at Northwest Baptist Church. His ministry to men and women in the jail and prison as well as his work with volunteers helped establish the continuing legacy of Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries. Northwest Baptist members honored his service to inmates and families by hosting a special musical event, “Praisefest,” on March 5th. Along with the church’s praise team and other musical groups, the Cherry Street Ensemble inmate choir sang. A message of redemption and hope was shared by an ex-offender, and a love offering of $800.00 was collected for Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries. It was a great evening of tribute to a great man of God.
Circle of Prayer

Join Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries’ Community Circle of Prayer on the streets surrounding the Jail downtown, 201 N. Church Street on Friday, April 21, at 6:00pm. All ages, individuals, and church groups are encouraged to join together in interceding for inmates, jail staff and families. Contact the ministry’s office with the number of people from your church who plan to attend. On that Friday, arrive by 5:30pm to find a location to pray. You will be greatly blessed and serve as a blessing to those inside the jail. Please share this information with your friends, family and associates. See you on the 21st, rain or shine!
