Back Together 304 Plan Updates Approved

Greetings Geneva 304 community members,

At a Special Meeting tonight, the Geneva CUSD 304 Board of Education approved updates to the District’s 2020-21 Back Together 304 plan, which reflects the most recent changes in guidance by IDPH and ISBE. The District’s approved plan allows for a safe and effective transition to five-day in-person learning for all students currently enrolled in the in-person model. Please read the following message carefully, as it contains important and time-sensitive information for families.

Transportation:
In preparing for a return to five-day In-Person Learning, the District is requesting support from families to minimize the total number of students on all bus routes. It is asked that if you are able to walk or drive your student to school that you complete the Transportation Opt-Out form once for each In-Person student at the link below no later than 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 24. This will allow the transportation team to properly assign students within the bus and ensure that routes are designed to limit total ridership to 49 students per bus.

Alternative Option to 5-Day In-Person Learning:
The District has prepared a fully off-site learning plan as an option for current In-Person Learning students as an alternative to attending school five days a week. That option includes:
  • At the elementary level, this would require a student to be assigned to a new class/teacher.
  • At the middle school level, this would require a schedule change and reduce offerings to core classes.
  • At the high school level, students would remain enrolled in their current classes and join a Concurrent Learning Model with live streaming from the classroom for daily learning.
Families interested in this option would need to complete the form once for each current in-person student at the following links no later than 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 24:
