Mother's Day Promotions
This year we're running two Mother's Day promotions, one for in-store and online purchases as well as a second one to promote the KEX website. Both will feature Spa Breaks as these have proved very popular in the past and give you something to promote across a broad cross section of your customer base.
The day we celebrate the special lady in our life is on the horizon and we will once more be running our popular Mother's Day promotion where your customers could win a Spa Day for them and a friend.

The prize will see the winner and a friend head off to their chosen Spa resort for an overnight B&B break including a treatment of their choice.

Entry couldn't be simpler. All they have to do to enter is spend a minimum of £5.00 in your store or online and complete a prize draw entry form. After the competition closes and all forms are returned to us from participating stores, we will draw the lucky winner.

The promotional packs will be heading off to stores soon and you'll receive an e-mail to let you know when they have been posted out.
Our 2nd promotion will also feature a Spa Break as a main prize but will also offer a product prize plus a discount voucher for all website users to be used exclusively online.

The promotion will be run on over 60 websites with a combined reach of over 15m people and includes the online sites of some of the UK's most popular magazines including Bella, That's Life, TV Choice, Mother & Baby and Yours. As well as popular Radio Station websites such as Absolute Radio and Magic FM.
We've popped a new poster in the Toolbox to help you promote Personalised Cards for Mother's Day. So simple to produce for something totally unique.

Simply select the style of card required from the Kodak Kiosk and then attach the printed photo to the Adventa Self Adhesive Card. You can create a personalised card in just 2 minutes!

Bake Off is back so it's time to push the personalised Aprons in the run up to Mother's Day!
The Great British Bake Off always pulls in a huge audience and the Celebrity version seems to get more and more popular each year.

That makes it the perfect time for you to promote bespoke printed Aprons to your customers, particularly in the run up to Mother's Day. A personalised apron makes a unique and thoughtful gift.
If you're not sure what design to put on your sample, just drop a line to and we can give you some suggestions.
Create your own in-store display with a mannequin
You can take your in-store clothng display to the next level with a simple mannequin showing off some product examples. Mannequins can be picked up relatively cheaply. For instance, the one featured below is available online from The Range for under £30.
Order your bespoke samples to attract local trade
Shoppers are always looking for ideas. Whether it's an impulse buy for themselves or a family member, or something different to buy as a gift. That's why it's important that you constantly keep your windows and display areas fresh with new stimulating ideas.

It's rare that any of us know exactly what we're looking for when we go shopping. We may have a list, we may have a vague idea, but our minds are open to stimulation and impulse.

It's about understanding your local audience and pitching something to them that they may not have thought of before. It's up to you to change the perception of what you offer beyond just printing photos. You can only do this by promoting new things.

So get creative and get your samples ordered now!

How could Brexit effect High Street Retailers?

Although it may not seem like it, with Brexit seemingly hanging over our heads like a black cloud waiting to release the rain, there might actually be some benefits to be had from it. Below we've gathered the best bits from various articles that show how Brexit could in fact benefit you and the success of your business! Don't believe us? Take a look for yourself!

"Examples of positivity for the high street can be seen in the camaraderie that they are exhibiting by banding together. For example, in York, a group of independent businesses has banded together to show the power of the high street, as well as the benefits of shopping locally and thinking of the environment and small businesses. If we’re unable to purchase from overseas due to prices or lose access to any of the goods should transport become an issue, people will be forced to think local and shop from sustainable local sources.

If nothing else, a no-deal Brexit will remove some of the power and monopoly that major corporations have and give some of the market back to the smaller, local growers and makers"

Other writers are talking about what makes the small business owner unique in the High Street and how they can turn that to their advantage by being positive and creative.

"Innovation in general is key for small businesses to prepare for Brexit. Mark Brownridge, director general of the EIS Association, affirms that the benefit of being a SMEs is that they are nimble. Their small size is an advantage as it means that they can quickly adapt to the changing environment, employing new ideas in the process."
