The Lasting Impact of PARTHENOS

PARTHENOS has now entered the final two months of the project’s lifespan. The current amount of our international presence, however, bears no indication of the project winding down! Project members can be found at many conferences and events throughout Europe and beyond.

First and foremost, we would like to invite everyone with an interest in PARTHENOS and its output – such as the PARTHENOS Training Suite, the Standardization Survival Kit (SSK) and the VRE – to attend our Impact event. During this one day festive event, PARTHENOS will showcase its outputs, both from a creator and from a user perspective. Therefore, you can visit this event as a spectator, but you can also actively participate by giving a presentation on your experience with PARTHENOS outputs. The event will take place on the  4th October in Rome. More information on the Impact event and how to register can be found here.

But you don’t have to wait until October to meet us. On DH Benelux (11 – 13 September; Liège, Belgium), PARTHENOS will feature in three activities. On Tuesday 11 September you can attend a workshop, in which you have the chance to contribute to one of PARTHENOS’ tools, the SSK, in the form of a newly designed research scenario. On Thursday morning 12 September, you can be involved in a dialogue on the future of Digital Humanities and help us to identify trends, opportunities and obstacles to determine where policy intervention might be beneficial. In the afternoon on the same day, the second edition of the CLARIN and PARTHENOS TwinTalks will take place. The aim of these talks is to find out how Digital Humanities collaborations within teams with members with varying skills in humanities research and in technology can be organized as effectively as possible.

We look forward to seeing you somewhere in Europe over the next two months!

PARTHENOS Impact Event 4th October 2019

The PARTHENOS project empowers digital research in the fields of History, Language Studies, Cultural Heritage, Archaeology, and related fields across the (Digital) Humanities through a thematic cluster of European Research Infrastructures, integrating initiatives, e-infrastructures and other world-class infrastructures, and building bridges between different, although tightly, interrelated fields.
PARTHENOS will achieve this objective through the definition and support of common standards, the coordination of joint activities, the harmonization of policy definition and implementation, and the development of pooled services and of shared solutions to the same problems.
