What a difference two weeks makes.

Hey, remember when we were all still planning to leave the house and do stuff with other people? Those were the good old days. Now it's all social distancing and #FlattenTheCurve and LET'S TALK ABOUT UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME FOR REAL, MOTHERFUCKERS.

Anyway, in an uncertain world, one thing is still for sure...

As you know, <<First Name>>, I was part of the creative team for Fran Wilde's Machina on Serial Box, and this week's and next week's episodes were both written by me! Get the whole first season for 10% off by using this link:

What's next?

At this point I'm not sure if any of my planned travel for the rest of the year will actually happen. It would be a shame if I didn't get to go to the Nebulas or Cascade Writers or CoNZealand, but it's more important to keep people safe and slow the spread of COVID-19.

My daily routine hasn't changed all that much; I've been working from home for the last decade anyway, but not having the option to go out and socialize with other writers and freelance creatives is a bit of a bummer. Right now I'm in a "virtual write-in" with half a dozen other folks, and it's... different. Having decent video conferencing technology available for free or cheap is great, but it's still no substitute for face-to-face interactions. I suspect we're all going to learn a lot about our personal preferences and limitations.

But we will get through this. And we can help each other through it. No matter what happens, remember: this, too, shall pass.
