Never a Dull Moment

As we sit on the edge of many new beginnings, I'm proud to look back at all that we've accomplished over the last few years. The intentional focus that the university has placed on our faculty, the way we've come together to create new colleges and schools, the passion that I see in each and every one of you – it's all of this and more that makes me excited to step into my permanent role leading Faculty Excellence.

I want to be sure our department is doing everything it can to support and grow our faculty, no matter what your career goals are. If you have an idea, suggestion, or just want to say hi, reach out – we'd love to hear from you.

Charge On,

Police Chief Finalists

We know that safety is at the forefront of your minds. As UCF Police Chief Richard Beary prepares to retire after 11 years of service at UCF and 41 years of law enforcement service, UCF is conducting a comprehensive, transparent search for a new campus safety leader.

Like the presidential search, finalists will be coming to campus to meet with faculty, staff and students. Each candidate will give a presentation about campus safety at an open forum. We encourage you to join the process and have your voice heard. Two candidates have already given their presentations and two more will be coming to campus.

Do You Travel?

The Travel Award for Recognition of Faculty Excellence (TARFE) is a great opportunity to be awarded funds for your travel. The award supports travel for faculty who are being recognized for a distinguished achievement or having a significant honor bestowed upon them in addition to supporting travel for faculty presenting their research or creative work.

In order to qualify for the award, faculty must have support from their department or college. This must come from Educational & General (E&G) money. Learn more about the program and see if you qualify.
