As an Associate Instructor, I understand how busy you are. That’s why this year we are having participants choose their own level of involvement.
If you want to start a project with your peers– great! We have action teams. If you want to share best practices and teaching advice with colleagues – that’s OK, too.
These are our remaining fall meeting dates: All sessions will take place in Teaching Academy Room 130, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.
Recently 90 NTE Faculty across UCF completed the survey sent out by Faculty Excellence. NTE Faculty are interested in discussing and working with peers on:
Preparing for promotion (helpful resources: guidelines, sample dossiers, processes, mentors)
Professional development/career planning (Individual Development Plans)
NTE Promotion/awards information
These topics are driving our action teams and discussion groups. Let us know if you would like to lead or join an action team, or start another team on a different topic.
Some of us will be teaching or off-campus Wednesday mornings.
We created an NTE Webcourse so if you cannot join us Wednesdays, you can still participate in the teams of your choice.
Here is the link to join: https://webcourses.ucf.edu/enroll/BMM6TC. Simply connect with the team expressing your desire to participate virtually throughout the semester. Each month at our NTE Community meetings, faculty will connect and share action team progress to date.
If you can’t join us this semester, mark your calendar for Spring 2019 meeting dates (10:30 to 11:45 a.m.):
I look forward to meeting all of you. If I can answer any questions you may have, please reach out to me directly.
