Call for Papers

LANGUAGE AND GLOBAL MEDIA INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

Researchers engaged in writing system research, global media research, discourse studies, language and identity studies, translation studies, gender and queer studies, are invited to present on their current research in relation to the workshop theme of ‘language and global media’.

The Workshop will be held at The University of Melbourne, Australia on 16-18 November 2016.

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF JAPANESE SPRING CONFERENCE 2017

The 2017 Annual Spring Conference of the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ) will be held in Toronto, Ontario, on Thursday, March 16, 2017, in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Association for Asian Studies. Proposals are invited for individual papers and panels in the following areas/categories: (1) pedagogy, (2) linguistics, (3) literature, (4) second language acquisition, (5) language and technology, or (6) topics related to AATJ’s special interest groups. 

Deadline for submission: October 31, 2016

The JSAA is updating its website. We are particularly keen to update the New Publications section of the website, which involves publicising recent book publications by JSAA members. If you have a monograph or edited volume that you would like to appear on the JSAA website, and that was published after (and including) 2015, please send details (title, publisher, date published, author name(s) and any relevant links) to Sally Chan.
