Snow and Thanksgiving

The Hill Valley Homeowners Association Board of Directors wishes all of our wonderful neighbors a great Thanksgiving Holiday and hope all enjoy the season. If you are driving, please leave in plenty of time and expect a lot of traffic.
I have included the information about snow removal because I actually saw a little snow on Saturday morning. Granted, the little flakes didn't last long and they melted upon contact but they were there (I am not sure I am really ready for winter yet).
The event that Americans commonly call the "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in 1621. This feast lasted three days, and—as accounted by attendee Edward Winslow—it was attended by 90 Native Americans and 53 Pilgrims. The New England colonists were accustomed to regularly celebrating "thanksgivings". This was taken in part from Wikipedia.
When snow is forecast the contractors have told us they need you to remove your vehicles from the street and park them in your driveway, especially in courts or cul-de-sacs, because leaving your vehicles in the street complicates and can even prevent plowing, and invites having plowed snow packed up against the street side of your vehicles. The Association has made arrangements with private snow removal firms for them to plow streets in areas that the City does not plow. These contractors will plow if the snow depth exceeds 3" as measured by the board and last year we did not have 3" of snow. The HVHA website has a snow removal page with much more information.
