WEEKLY NOTES May 18, 2023

Greetings Saint Paul's Friends and Family,

Shout triumphantly to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with celebration!

                         ~ Psalm 100:1-2 (CEB)

IT'S CELEBRATION TIME!! What are you celebrating these days? This week at Saint Paul's, we are celebrating phenomenal graduates. We are celebrating our amazing music ministry. We are celebrating wonderful lives well-lived. We are celebrating life!  And, as we celebrate, we give thanks to the Lord our God from whom all blessings flow. It is truly because of God that we "live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28a)."

With Gratitude and Love,

Pastor Latricia & Pastor Becky

P.S.  The directories are here!  There will be a table set up on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings for this week and next, and then available in the church office after that.  Each directory has a sticky note with the name of the family it belongs to.  Please only take your directory.  If you did not have a portrait taken, we will have extra church directories for sale in the church office or at Wednesday Night Dinner ($7 each).

Combined Summer Worship

During June and July we will combine our Sunday morning worship services and worship together at 9:30 am.  Children and Youth Sunday School classes will be right after worship, along with most Adult Sunday School classes.  Your class may choose to meet before worship - just let the church office know.  This service will be live-streamed to Facebook and Youtube.

Current Volunteer Needs at Saint Paul's UMC:

Tech Team Volunteers:
As of March 26th, we are live-streaming our worship services!  With our new system in place, we need additional volunteers to operate the worship technology that helps us effectively communicate both within the Sanctuary and to those who join us remotely. For each service, we need one person to handle sound and another to handle video, slides, etc. Technical aptitude is helpful, but the important requirements are to be reliable and attentive. Training will be provided. The more volunteers we have, the fewer shifts each one needs to take on.  Contact Jay Wirth at jaywirth@gmail.com.

Capital Area Justice Ministry (CAJM)

Saint Paul's UMC has joined the Capital Area Justice Ministry and everyone is invited to participate in the next big event:
