Romans 8

15-17 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!
18-21 That’s why I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times. The created world itself can hardly wait for what’s coming next. Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.
Romans 8:15-21 (The Message)
This morning I am praying for our church - both local and the larger denomination of United Methodism as we prepare for General Conference 2019.  I find myself longing that ALL people would receive the message from the church what is written in Romans 8; that they are beloved children of God and worthy of love.   I am myself encouraged in this passage the remember that despite the challenges that we face, God's intentions for the world are for good - to recreate if you will, the declaration of 'it is good' in all of creation.  I am challenged to live the earlier passages and share in the love and acceptance of all people, and given hope for the ultimate victory of God's love in our world.

ALL HANDS ON DECK!!!! We are in need of moving our Mosaic Garden for a few weeks in order to fix a water intrusion issue in our buildings.  Are you available this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to lend a hand?  Bring your work gloves and water to drink - we can use all the hands we can get!  Many thanks.
