A Message from Pastor Kandace

July 4, 2019
Dear Friends;
This Sunday we begin our SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE with ONE SERVICE at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary, followed by Sunday School.  Also this week, pass through Sanders Hall on your way to Sunday School, grab a quick bite and most importantly, say ‘HELLO’ to our new Associate Pastor, Becky Rokitowski and her family – husband Ted and sons Kaden and Adam.  Kaden has already joined the youth on their recent mission trip.  We are so glad that Pastor Becky and family are here, and we look forward to serving midtown Tallahassee together!

During the month of July we will be doing a really fun sermon series called ‘Lessons from the Boardroom.’  We are going to focus on what the church can learn from various businesses that are part of our cultural landscape.  Let me invite you to do this: when you are out and about town, take a look at the businesses that you use – why do you keep coming back?  What attracts you? What do you get out of it?  What could the church learn from your favorite restaurant, car service, coffee shop, grocery store, department store?

Finally, as we enter into the summer/vacation months and the second half of the year, may I encourage you to remain faithful in your giving to the church?  Our expenses generally rise during the summer months, and it is critical that we keep ahead of this trend.  Online giving is my favorite way of providing for the church, so easy to remember!

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday – and – it’s ROCKET POP SUNDAY; one of my favorites, and one that the kiddos (young and old) seem to love.

Blessings,
Kandace

PLEASE NOTE
Our wonderful Children’s Minister, Jill Merryday, is currently on Family Medical Leave.  While Jill is gone, several folks will be pitching in to assist in order to keep our ministry going!  Jenni Cox, Morgan Holmes and Peggy Benton are helping out. Morgan is our new summer intern.  Please check with any of these amazing ladies if you have questions or need information.  Keep Jill and her family in your prayers!
