A Message from Pastor Kandace

January 24, 2019
Dear Friends,

We are finishing up our third class this evening on Human Sexuality and how it is affecting our beloved United Methodist Church.  Our time together has been productive, and I hope enriching for those who have participated as we have learned empathy, context and the mission of the church moving forward.  I urge you to be in prayer for our church, and for the delegates who will be attending the special called General Conference in February.  I have appreciated the opportunity to meet with various Sunday School classes as well during these past weeks, and look forward to more in the next month or so.

This Sunday is our annual Chili Cook-off to benefit our Youth Missions this summer.  I hope you are planning now to join us after worship this week to enjoy the fellowship and spirited competition this event always brings.  I so appreciate the way this church supports its youth and their outreach in mission!

We will be receiving several new members this week as well, and there is still time for you to join in!  If you would like to become a member of Saint Paul’s UMC, please let me know and I can get you the appropriate materials.  I love that we have a chance this week to renew our own baptismal vows and membership promises.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Progress continues on Phase One of our MAKING ROOM Project.  We did run into two unexpected issues - termite infestation (which is now resolved) and a water intrusion issue that requires additional barriers to be installed to prevent future damage.  We will keep you posted on the progress.
