Fall 2016 Update
Preceptors are Superheros!

Fall 2016 SE PA AHEC Community rotations for Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University students have begun.

Thank you to our community preceptors who teach and inspire the future heros of community based primary care.
Meet Dr. Ball Motely
Compliance Coordinator & Field Supervisor of Experiential Education
Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences

Dr. Kristin Ball Motley goes out of her way to be extraordinary, focusing her work and volunteer activities on improving health and serving communities in need.  As Compliance Coordinator & Field Supervisor of Experiential Education at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences, she ensures that students benefit from quality field experiences in a variety of healthcare settings.  As a pharmacist, Dr. Motley founded and is president of Health Care Solutions of Delaware Valley (HCS). Her health and wellness firm works with companies and individuals to save money on healthcare costs, particularly prescription medications. Her grandmother’s reluctance to pay for expensive medications inspired her to start HCS.

This busy mom and wife finds time to serve on SE PA AHEC's board of directors. Dr. Motley shares her expertise in student and pharmacist education.  She volunteers to inform and guide young people in planning for a career in healthcare in our Health Career Opportunity programming.

Wise words:  Life offers a variety of ways for healthcare providers to make a difference in underserved communities. From working on policy change to collaborating with organizations that improve access to healthcare to providing direct care, there’s much work to be done. I’m very fortunate to have the ability to use my passion of helping others, and skills as a pharmacist to improve people’s lives.
