China has always fascinated Veronica Hernandez. She’d learned about the country in high school and was on the verge of being fluent in Chinese, so when she heard that NYU was opening a campus in Shanghai, she knew it was where she was meant to be. Huffington Post and Daily Mail reported on Professor Li Li’s research on how playing action-based video games may boost players’ ability to coordinate incoming visual information with their motor control--a skill critical to many real-world behaviors, including driving.
Don’t forget tomorrow is the Class of 2020 Convocation and Orientation. Please give a big welcome to our new students! Click here to see 2016 Orientation Schedule. | Want to be an NYU Shanghai Student Worker? Attend the On-Campus Jobs Fair on Thursday, August 25 at 12:00pm in the Library.
Thank you to all of you who took the time to give us your feedback on last year’s Gazette. We received more than 200 responses and hope you enjoy the new-look issue. After drawing names the traditional way--out of a coffee mug--we’re pleased to announce that Lijia Gu and Shengyang He are our two survey winners and will receive 250RMB each to spend in the Campus Store. Please come to Room 1334 to collect your vouchers.
