On March 7, NYU Shanghai Art Gallery opened the first exhibition of 2017 - “Borders: Us and Them,” which probes the transformation of contemporary global borders and their socio-political implications. Some 100 art enthusiasts wandered the borders of art in virtual landscapes.
Film screenings, roundtables and talks flourished at NYU Shanghai this week in celebration of International Women’s Day, offering community members an opportunity to examine gender inequality while boosting awareness of women in the sciences.

Earlier this week, Green Shanghai installed a solar panel charging station in the 2F cafe for anyone to come charge their dying phones and laptops. According to Nofar Hamrany '18, this is just the first stage of a series of solar panel based projects that will be popping up around campus.
And earlier today, IMA students showed off their smart gadgets at the “Stupid Pet Trick” show--a campus challenge to create simple, physically interactive devices using basic skills learned in class. Business and Finance major Zhao Zeyu '17 discovered his passion for law and public policy at NYU Shanghai and will be embarking on his career at a non-profit healthcare think tank after graduation.
