Blessings to you from all of us at African Sisters Education Collaborative! We received a letter from Sr. Eusebia, one of our 2-year scholarship recipients and wanted to pass it along to you <<First Name>>, for your generous support.

Your support really makes a big difference in the lives of our scholarship recipients as well the communities they serve. We can't thank you enough!
Dear Benefactors,
I am Sr. Eusebia Michael Temba of the Holy Spirit Sisters Society (H.S.S). I seated for Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) this year May 2019 in Bigwa Sisters’ Seminary School, Morogoro Tanzania.

I scored Division One and I am very glad to thank you for your supportive hand which made me to obtain excellent performance. May the Almighty God bless you abundantly and give you good health and long life for your generosity and readiness in helping the people in need. By educating one sister you have educated and benefited the whole congregation members, the society and the church at large. May God reward you whatever donation made to me.

Soon after completed form six education I was assigned a duty of teaching religion and prepare children for initial Holy Sacraments, Confirmation and other church religious services in our Parish, Rauya while waiting to join university for undergraduate.

I would like to thank you all for your assistance which made me perform wonders through the scholarship. I also extend my sincere thankfulness to Bigwa Secondary Headmistress and teachers for their dedication, readiness assistance, loving kindness, hardworking spirit and tangible advices to the students. Their assistance helped me so much to settle and study hard.

During my studies I applied various methods as I planned at the very beginning. These are, groups discussion, well organised studies schedule, read books and seeking teachers’ advice which all led to successful National examination results.

I continue to encourage other sisters and students whom I left at school to study hard, listening to teachers and be committed to their goals and objectives of being at Bigwa Secondary. To teachers of Bigwa school and elsewhere do not hesitate to assist students in acquisition knowledge and skills because, education is the backbone of life. It is through education we are able to obtain doctors, teachers, effective and competent leaders, engineers and many important people for social and economic sustainability.

Last but not least, I humbly approach you sponsors to assist me in further education at Saint August University so that I may full achieve my goals and ambition of becoming a competent teacher. I am willingly to better serve the future young people, the oppressed and abandoned people to enjoy and praise the beautifulness of the earth.

My heartfelt appreciation goes to all people who continue to lay their whole heart in assisting religious sisters in Africa, especially Bigwa Sisters Seminary. God bless you all.

Bridging the Gap to Higher Education

ASEC's scholarship program bridges the gap to higher education for African Sisters in Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia. In Tanzania the need for lower levels of education is great.

About 60% of the 11,500 Sisters here have not graduated from secondary school.

Just $20 pays a Sister's tuition for a week. Once she graduates, she can qualify for higher levels of education like diploma and even college-level degrees. She'll be able to make an even bigger impact serving the poor and rural communities of Africa--for YEARS to come--living and serving in communities where help is needed most!

Thank you again! We are so grateful for your support. There are even more Sisters, just like Sr. Eusebia, who really need your support. You can read about their hopes and dreams for the future on ASEC's website!
