Are you #PublicSchoolProud?
Take the Pledge for Public Schools
Public schools in the United States educate 50.8 million students, regardless of ability, race, wealth, language, religion or country of origin. To show our pride in public schools, and help advocate for the resources needed, LFA has launched the Pledge for Public Schools. We're urging all educators, parents and community members to go to www.publicschoolproud.org right now and add your voice to the thousands who have vowed to stand up for their students and schools. There has never been a more critical time to speak out for pubic education.
During Public Schools Week 2020, to be held February 24-28, public school advocates will take these pledges to Capitol Hill and state capitals across the country to show lawmakers how many people are supporting our nation's public schools. We've already seen #PublicSchoolProud pop up in the presidential campaigns. But we need you --and your colleagues, friends and family members--to sign on immediately and show our strength.
Once you take the pledge, please share on social media using #PublicSchoolProud! We also have plenty of ideas for tweets, Facebook and Instagram posts, and other outreach in our social media toolkit.
If you're a teacher or school official, please download and print our 2020 Public Schools Week poster and hang it in your school entrance, classroom or office.
