Join LFA for Public Schools Week 2020
Public Schools Week is a designated week for administrators, teachers, specialists, teacher educators, parents and school board members to host events for their communities and reach out to lawmakers, businesses, and other community members to discuss the importance of public education. Add Public Schools Week 2020 to your school calendar and make plans to join LFA and educators across the United States to show the strength—and potential—of our nation’s public schools and our students’ futures.
How can you participate?
Organize an event--perhaps a book drive, pizza party, or public advocacy event--to show your pride in your public school. Register your event on the Public Schools Week 2020 calendar.
Invite a lawmaker or community leader to visit your school and discuss ways that they can get involved.
Use our templates to write op-ed pieces for your parents or community members or to advocate for public education with local or state lawmakers.
Send your #PublicSchoolProud stories and photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We're also inviting groups and associations to become partners for Public Schools Week 2020. Sign up here to be listed and get information on how your organization can participate.
