Harvard FAS Registrar's Office
Greetings Catalog Coordinators,

This newsletter includes important updates pertaining to the Course Catalog and Schedule of Classes. Therefore, please read this message in its entirety and email courses@fas.harvard.edu with questions or concerns.

Notification to Faculty
The Registrar’s Office sent the following email to all Spring 2019 FAS instructors, requesting that they do a final check of their spring courses in my.harvard.
January
15
The deadline to make changes to the course catalog is Jan.15th. After Jan. 15th, the only changes permitted will be to the Schedule of Classes:
Important Start of Term Dates
  • Right Now: GSAS and xreg students may add FAS courses to their Crimson Carts
  • Jan. 16: Check-In process begins for College students
  • Jan 22: College students may add courses and validate their Crimson Carts
  • Jan. 28: First day of FAS classes. GSAS and College students may enroll in Spring term classes. Faculty begin to respond to permission requests.
Are all of your spring instructors actively teaching?

Double check that each faculty member associated with a class is actually teaching this term. It's easy to forget to remove someone who may be on sabbatical or recently retired. You would be surprised at the number of messages we receive around grading time from faculty who did not teach the course that they are associated with in the course search!.

Pull a list of your classes and associated faculty in the FAS Curriculum Workcenter by running "Class Meeting Times and Faculty" on the Reports tab.
