Dear Supporter,

As a mother of two young children, I know only too well the need to purchase new clothes for school.  Each child needs items that will get them through until their next growth spurt, and and those spurts seem to come so frequently! My children have the luxury of choosing a few items that are just for fun - a Star Wars T-shirt or a jaunty hat.  Not all children have this opportunity.

The Ficha Uchi Campaign (www.fichauchi.org) helps to provide students in the Mathare slum of Kenya with uniforms to wear to school.  In this area, many of the children are forced to go to school in tattered uniforms, but this campaign in partnership with the Chantal Paydar Foundation is providing new uniforms to the children- and act that not only clothes the children, but also restores confidence and dignity leading to greater strides in school and options for the future.  And it cost $15 for a new uniform for each child! So little for so much impact.

The Ficha Uchi Campaign is Kenyan-founded and led, and is partnering with the Chantal Paydar Foundation to fund this amazing program.  In this season of the year where gifts are being given, please consider gifting Ficha Uchi to help these students! Please help us spread the word of this awesome program and help us get this funded!

With aloha!
