Alaris approved for commercial UAS operations
333 Exemption approved by FAA
Alaris announced this week that the company received approval from the FAA to conduct commercial UAS operations using a 333 Grant of Exemption and Certificate of Waiver or Authorization (COA) for the company's Inspire 1 and Phantom 3 systems. Alaris has additional exemptions in process for other systems including the UAV Solutions Phoenix 30 and Talon 120LE as well as for the DJI S-900 and S-1000.
The COA allows Alaris to operate the systems at or below 200 feet above ground level (AGL) in the National Air System (NAS) with the option to request 400 feet on a site-specific basis.
"We obtained multiple 333 approvals for our customers over the past year and have been excited about having one for Alaris. We have experienced UAS pilots with thousands of hours of experience that will fly these systems to support training, education, public safety, infrastructure support, and other general aerial data collection missions," stated Alaris Principal Tony "Pooch" Pucciarella.
